The name of this app is pretty self-explanatory for its main functionality too. It's a book downloader that let you search for e-books by entering a keyword and then download the ones from the search results that interest you. You can download the books as PDF, PNG, or JPG files. To open and read the downloaded books, you will need an additional, third-party application that supports the aforementioned file formats. Books Downloader doesn't offer any book reading or previewing functions, and supports only the three aforestated formats. Furthermore, the search results are often far from accurante. What I mean is that searching for classical titles like “The Catcher in the Rye” won't return this well-known novel, but collections of essays about it, which is not exactly what most users probably want.
Books Downloader is pretty scarce in features and functions. Its minimalistic interface only lets you search for books and download them, as advanced options or additional tools are not provided. Anyway, beginners will surely appreciate the simplicity and the straightforwardness of the interface.
Another thing I like about this neat application is the fact that it can complete the downloads pretty quickly, as it supports performing simultaneous, batch downloads, and the file transfer speeds are quite fast.
Last but not least, it's also free. So if you don't mind the flaws that I just mentioned, then I'd say it's worth a try.
